WOW!! I've received a bunch of great info on Remote Control of the Flex
5000A - some have even sent me direct e-mails laying it all out for me.
Uber Elmers, everyone of you guys. A big thanks - and a great testimony of
how versatile the Flex 5000A can be.

Although I've not purchased yet, being able to operate remote is a big part
of me deciding my future fate with Ham Radio - being that I live on a
postage stamp-sized lot and a reasonably good antenna is not a reasonable
option for me, except for 6 meters and above. I have a tentative agreement
to set a remote rig at a tower that has not been used for a while. We'll
see how that pans out.

In the meantime, I may have other questions as I explore the world of Flex
and SDR radio. Though I work with military SDR radios, I'm not fully
familiar with what inroads have been made by Ham Radio into the SDR realm.
But, as with all things, a journey of a thousand miles begins with just one
step - and hopefully a bunch of others added. :)

Again, thanks for the great info and the innovative spirit that has been
the Hallmark of Ham Radio's history. I choose to follow you pioneers and,
if you don't mind, to occasionally pick your brains. Don't worry, it'll not
hurt too much. :)

73s, thank much and talk soon!

dave :)
