Steve; I've looked into this Shuttle system but I don't see any on-board serial port in it's specs. I also didn't see a Firewire port for your 5000. I was thinking of using one graphics card and a combo serial and f/w card in the other slot. I didn't think the on-board graphics were usable when a graphics card was plugged in. Maybe that isn't true nowdays.
