I modified my Flex-3000 for a separate receive antenna but I don't have
photos or a schematic to send you. I traced the circuit around the T/R
relay and cut the circuit board trace going to the receive path. I
drilled a hole near the center of the rear panel and added a chassis
mount SMA connector there for the receive input. Then I ran a 50 ohm
mini-coax from the connector to the trace, and connected the shield to a
nearby ground trace. As nearly as I can tell the performance was
unchanged. The modification could in principle be undone.
