Hello group - I'm deciding between the Kuhne Electronics TR 144H +40 transverter and the Elecraft XV144 transverter to use with both my Flex 5000 and Flex 1500. I'm interested in doing weak signal 2m SSB with the Flex. There is a huge price different between these two units - I understand that with the Kuhne I would probably not need a preamp.
