The front panel on the 1500 and 3000 are wired to the Yeasu standard. How about 
the 5000a? Wired the same?

The mic connector on the FLEX-1500 & the FLEX-3000 is wired to the Yaesu
standard.  The Yaesu MH-31A8J hand microphone will plug in & work.

Hello all, I have a new flex 1500 coming in monday and I need a microphone .
Can any one tell me which is a good mic to use with the radio ?  what mic
comes wired for it , I can't wire mics too small .
