Stan. This is an incorrect assumption.
The issue is probably that the PC's sound card, which is needed to
perform the digital to analog conversion is not compatible with PowerSDR.

We like to do a club demo without having the hardware there, just some
prerecorded stuff on a memory stick. The problem is the computer does
not give a demo option in 'Available Radio Interface". We also did the
update to PowerSDR2.4.4. but we have the same problem there.
Has this option be removed?
Is there a way to force it into "demo Mode"?
