Problem: could not hear relay when software is started. Radio inoperative.
Findings on my rig this week:
1. XP did not identify usb to parallel driver. - (although it had been loaded.)
2. In setup GENERAL tab USB was not selected.
Unplugged usb - parallel adapter. -(computer & radio off)
Went to Microsoft and installed latest XP updates.
Went Went to flex-radio and down loaded USB driver.
Re installed the USB driver.
-- computer & radio both off.
Connected radio to computer. USB to parallel
Powered up computer
Turned radio on
Started radio software
Went to GENERAL tab selected USB to parallel.
Port address did not appear to be critical.
Radio is in stand by mode.
Receives as soon mode changed to operate.
