Thanks Tony and Ken. The twisted pair of 6 turns is what I missed. 4 wires to 6 holes didn't make sense and the center tap on the scondary winding was not making sense either. This makes much more sense now. I've wound a few torroids building a K1 and some other kits but nothing quite like this one.
