Folks

Here is the audio from the forum on this date.

If I sounded a little ‘tight’ --- I was! I apologize, but my wife and I had been out celebrating some good news after several months of bad news. Eat, Drink and be Merry, as they say.

The pre-forum audio includes a long conversation with Lyle KK7P and his interesting work with SDR, DDS kits and many other areas of interest. I spent many enjoyable years with the TAPR TNC-1 right after it was released, with a dog and pony show all over the Southeast US carrying 2 tnc-1’s 2 Vic 20’s, monitors, radios antennas etc. giving radio club presentations wherever they would have me! All to show that you could send text from one side of the room to the other ….. BUT! What hath TAPR wrought! I should probably write a book about 2 weeks of installing an Atlanta digipeter at the 900 ft level on the WXIA TV tower. Gerald’s SDR and what AMSAT and TAPR are still doing on the technological front of communications, keeps this the most rewarding hobby anyone could have. Thanks Lyle for making so many things happen and continue to happen over all the years. Memories of the future.

DRAT. Two reasons I should have been there. ;-).

Lyle is a national treasure and one of amateur radio's greatest assets.
