Thanks for the link, my cable modem will be busy tonight.
I now have the Beta version installed and have been playing a little
with your SharpDSP code.
The MS C# IDE is a bit on the slow side so you need a very fast
machine, but using the SharpDevelop IDE is way faster.

On the issue of upgrading, that can be a sore issue with many,
specially if you don't use is on a daily basis. I've been using
Delphi 7 for many years and have not upgraded, because I have not
needed it, I'm comfortable with it as it is, it does the job for me.
Myself, since I'm not familiar with .NET, and if I must learn one, it
might as well be the new one.
Right now I'm trying to figure out if I need a change in my software
development platform, I'm very comfortable with the Borland/Delphi
IDE, the 2006 edition includes Delphi, C++, and C# under one IDE,
that is very tempting since I really like their IDE vs the MS model.
Maybe I have not figured something out about the MS IDE model, but in
Delphi changing the visual aspects of a project is so simple, and
wiring code to different events is very simple, such as dropping
something on a button or box, dragging, etc. It's all built in and
the procedure code is written for you. With MS it is more of a
struggle, and apparently I'm not the only one that thinks so, I see
comments from persons on the FlexSDR team commenting about the
difficulties of adding more buttons to the IDE, and how they will
have to rewrite the code. In Borland/Delphi environment that is
something that you just don't even worry about.
I'm in no big hurry, I'm hopping that Alex will release the code to
the Rocky software. Then there no decision to make, just upgrade
Delphi and keep on trucking. In the meantime I keep playing with C#
and SharpDevelop.
Free software is good, specially if you don't have anything, but
learning a new set of libraries is awful, and Microsoft has a nasty
habit of changing all the API's and libraries every couple of years,
I'm getting too old and set in my ways.
Enough ranting, may the farce be with you.

Just in case there may be still some confusion, Microsoft is
offering the Express Editions for free. They are not time limited -
they will run forever.

I fail to see why doing the same thing over and over and getting the
same results every time is insanity: I've almost proved it isn't;
only a few more tests now and I'm sure results will differ this time ...
