Use a flat screen monitor and you won't get monitor radiation. :-P
But you will have to come up with a new excuse!
I have somewhere a small comic strip that reminds me of this;
There is a guy showing off a massive computer, with tons of lights,
and tape drives and dials all over it, it's so big it takes the whole
wall of a large room.
There is a sign on the computer side that says "stay out, danger of shock".
On the next picture you are looking at the computer from the back,
the guy is laying on the floor passed out.
The picture of the back of the computer shows a small desktop sitting
on a small table with cables going all over the back of the huge
wooden shell with meters, and lights.
The computer geek is saying, I warned you, "Danger of shock".
Maybe I'm also getting too much radiation.

We could easily extend the search to include through COM255 to pick
up such ports. As an aside, every time I type out COM255, I picture
this computer with rows and rows and COM ports to which about 4
items are connected. I find this strangely funny. Perhaps it's
just the monitor radiation getting to me.

I fail to see why doing the same thing over and over and getting the
same results every time is insanity: I've almost proved it isn't;
only a few more tests now and I'm sure results will differ this time ...
