Filters, yes. And a removal of all the stuff in the audio chain that is needed for SSB but detrimental to RTTY/PSK31/etc. The FSK transmitter is more difficult and will not be attempted now. The DSP is ready and has been for some time to do RTTY/SSTV/Digital modes. There is no change needed for the dsp to accomplish this.
