I use a DownEast 6 meter preamp ($65) on my SDR. It brings the receiver sensitivity up there with the best rice box with knobs and a handle. It blows them away with the great AGC, selectivity, filters and panadaptor of the SDR. The SDR is a great 6 meter rig with a external receiver preamp and power amplifier. None better!
