Tim When you are playing the IQ wav files the AGC max gain control in Setup/DSP/AGC/ALC on 1.6.2 , will work the same as if you had real hardware because this is all done with the computer and sound card. On the later Beta versions available, the control is also on the console front panel and labeled RF and has a slider. It does exactly what you said you wanted to have, as it acts like a rf gain control, even though it is in the IF chain. This one is better though cause your Smeter doesn't change like the other rigs.
