Guess the server could not digest the attachment so I am sending without it.
I can send directly if you want to see it.

Hi Bob
Turns out I can't use 'off' or 'low' since changing forces me to always have to
uncheck 'RFE' which then only allows 'med' and 'high'. Also found that
returning to receive after transmitting does the same thing only now I have to
shut down PowerSDR and re-open the program.
Hope this is not because I am running Windows 2000 Pro. Just got Wiley's
latest
updates today and Tortoise caused two crashes, one a STOP and one a black screen
to reboot when I tried to download. The third attempt I got a warning about
files conflicting but they compiled with no errors. The fourth attempt went
smoothly and that is the program I am running.
V1.6.2 SVN:486 has been running very well since I compiled it on 5/16/06.
With AVERAGE on and the preamp switched to the NARDA 50 ohm termination, I get
roughly:
off = (-)150 dBm,
low = (-)159 dBm,
med = (-)161 dBm,
high = (-)163 dBm.
Not formally calibrated, SVN:658 displays: med ~ (-)154 dBm, high ~ (-)164 dBm.
My system is calibrated to display in terms of the signal or noise level
presented to the preamp by the antenna system, including cables, relays and
connectors, so I can effectively do in-situ hot/cold 'Y FACTOR' noise
measurements comparing cold sky noise to the noise produced by the NARDA 50 ohm
source at a known and relatively stable temperature... I also couple my
amplitude calibrated and Ru phase-locked Agilent 8648D SG thru a directional
coupler with the noise produced by the 50 ohm termination for frequency and
level calibration...
That's how I can work single yagi 800W stations in the UK via EME and 600 miles
away in Georgia via normal TROPO and also hear 20 watt beacons 300+ miles away
on 2 Meters with my HB transverter using the SDR1000 as the 28 MHz IF.
