When I used my Mac's full time I use to have three monitors on it 
sometimes four, and it was quite handy. I did a lot of video creation 
and editing.

Although, I must warn you that many early PC video cards with two 
connectors did not support two monitors with different content at the 
same time, it was more of a built in cable adapter. Many modern PC's 
will allow two desktops and I have that at work and it's very useful.
