Dave, Just for clarification, remember that SVN (and similar tools such as CVS, Perforce, etc) will only update the files that actually changed since you last updated -- so don't expect to see _everything_ scrolling by even when it's working properly: that's one of the greatest benefits of such a tool - you don't have to keep track of all the changes, etc - it does it for you.
