It would seem to me you could use the input/output from the rtty computer into the native sound card and use VAC to route the audio from the native soundcard in/out of the SDR-1000. This would give you 2 stages to control gain one in the rtty box and one in the SDR computer. You should also be able to use a serial port to key the thing Make sure the windows sounds are turned off.
