I went to the local computer store, and purchased a fairly generic PCI
parallel port. It works very fine with my SDR-1000. The driver says NetMos
PCI enhanced ECP parallel port. I think that most aftermarket parallel port
cards would likely be OK, if they are enhanced parallel ports..

The only wierdness is that the parallel port is not the common 378, 3A8, or
other addresses. It is CC78. In PowerSDR, you must type the port number
into the box, there is not a drop-down with that address. After that, it
worked fine.

For a laptop, I have used the Quatech SPP-100G PCMCIA enhanced parallel port
with my Toshiba Satellite. It also works good, but also has the high port
address, not 378, 3A8, or other common address.

Subject: *****SPAM***** [Flexradio] Parallel Port Recommendation

> Does anyone have any recommendations for add-on parallel port cards. My
new PC does not have a parallel port and from my understanding the only way
to run the SDR-1000 under vista is to the an actual parallel port.
Recommendations?
