Clyde,

Here's the step by step method to making it like and accept LPT3...

Open Control Panel, then System, Hardware, Device Manager, and click on
Ports (COM & LPT). You'll see the LPT3 port that you just added. Double
click on it to display its Properties. Click on the Resources tab, and write
down the first number under I/O Range. You'll use that with the PowerSDR
setup.

Now, open PowerSDR, click Setup, General, Hardware Config, and under
Hardware Setup (center of the page) you'll see LPT Address. Click the flyout
which will highlight the default address (normally 378). Type in the number
you wrote down from Device Manager above, click OK and you should be good to
go. I also added a PCI LPT card to run a second printer, and it came up with
an I/O address of 9868, but enter whatever you found in the first steps
above.

If this doesn't work for you, let me know, and we'll try plan B (half of
pound of C4) ;o)) You just have to show these blooming computers who's boss!

Hope this helps.

Subject: [Flexradio] Parallel Port Help

I bought the single port Byte Runner card that Flex recommended. It's
Saturday so I can't get any factory support till Monday. It installed ok
but they don't supply any drivers for XP. I loaded what I guess is the
2000 drivers and it shows up in the list. It shows LPT3 but if there is a
number that you plug into the SDR1K I don't know where to find
it....Anyone help? Flex don't like "LPT3" !!!
