Look for K5UHF operating from South Texas (STX) during Field Day. Location is in Hill Country a few miles from Lago Vista, Texas. We will test a FLEX-5000A on 10,15,20 meters along with a FLEX-1000 on 40 and 80 meters, mostly on SSB driving a pair of ALPHA-87's. The 5KA will use a tribander on 10,15,20 and the SDR-1K a full size vertical on 40 and a inverted V for 80 meters. Also QRV on 50,144,220,432,1296 MHz with our VFH station, albeit this station still uses knobs, should have this corrected next year.
We had terrific Field Day last year with same setup with 2 FLEX-1000's. There may be some minor dirt road access due to lots of recent rain and WX conditions during Field Day, but we are confident we can give it a go.
