It appears that a recent change has been made to automaticly turn off RIT when click tuning. I can see how this might make sense but it is a REAL problem with how many of us have to use RTTY on the Flex. It is my convention that the displayed freq. is the mark freq. not the carrier freq. Every other rig I know of displays the Mark freq when in FSK RTTY mode. To compensate for this on the Flex I've been setting both the RIT and XIT to 2125. The problem now is that RIT is turned off every time I click tune.
The preferred solution to this would be to provide a display offet freq for but DIGL and DIGU similar to the "Click Tune Offset" provided under the General>Options setup screen. An even better solution would be to tie this and other parameters to the TX Profile or create a "Mode Profile". I already use a RTTY TX Profile to set lower Drive and Tune power levels for the RTTY mode. Thanks and 73's Mark NU6X -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
