The mic connector on the front of the SDR-1000 is a "pass thru" to the 1/8" TRS mic connector on the back of the SDR-1000 that HAS to be plugged into the soundcard to work. There is only one physical phone input to the SDR-1000; the soundcard.

Worked perfectly. It sort of works with the SDR1K. I plug the output directly to the connector on the front of the SDR1K. If I hit a buffer button, it keys the rig and sends the recorded buffer to the SDR1K. I can hear the buffer being sent via the little speaker in the MFJ DVK. But it seems 'flatter'. Doesn't seem to have the punch I produce using my Heil ProSet boom mic. For instance Using the Heil boom mic on the ProSetPlus I can see a definitive pattern to my voice in the panadaptor 2.1 filter display. Using the DVK output, it's similar, just not as 'sharp'. The other issue, I can hear my own voice if the Monitor is enabled using my Heil ProSet mic. But nothing from the monitor if I use the DVK, feeding mic connector on the SDR1K. ProSet mic goes to Edirol input DVK mic output goes to PWSDR mic connector. So??? am I correct in thinking that I need to feed the DVK to the Edirol? 2nd question is I think I read mention of a built in DVK in the future. Is this still in the works? I'm trying to minimize the station.
