I hate to be the bringer of bad news but I am using Win2KPro on this
computer, next to it, the machine I call my "work" computer, is running
WinXP and last January when I asked the IT fellow who struggles with the
load at the place I work when he was going to convert to VISTA (I knew he
had only changed from 2K to XP last fall) he said it would be at least two
years. However, the new CAD programs aren't going to let him relax and
when he talked to me yesterday I was informed that he had just bought
himself a new 64 bit machine so that he had a head start on the conversion
to VISTA which he has been ordered to complete before the end of the year!!
You know, there are just some things you cannot fight! I've always found
the Internal Revenue Service, the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and
Microsoft to be among those---and maybe not in that order! In my shack I am
running WinME (I can't get rid of it), Win2K and VISTA.
