I am certain that this has happened only since I installed the new firmware that was released last weekend:
Sometimes when I change frequency the sound will cut out and the display will freeze, then a second or two later I will hear a "ding" as though I had unplugged a device. Clicking the "Remove hardware safely" icon shows no FLEX-5000 connected, and if I power down the FLEX then power it up again, I hear the "dings" as it reconnects. The PC has an AMD dual-core 64 X2 3800+ with 1GB RAM. The Firewire card is an Adaptec using an Agere chip and has IRQ 17 all to itself; WinXP Home says the device is working properly. I cannot find an updated driver for the card. Anybody else seeing this?
