Having both a 756 PRO II and 5000 side by side, I can compare them on a
daily basis. The spectrum scope on the PRO series is probably one of the
most useful features on a model of this type. However, unlike the 5000,
the 756 PRO series spectrum scope is not a "point and click" scope, so
it's usefulness is limited to mainly "look - can't manipulate" type
activities. But, useless to the rank and file PRO users it is not. I
still prefer my PRO II for 6 meter weak signal work even though I have to
find signals the old fashion way.
