I've now tried Faros, and it does seem to be much easier to use, if for no other reason than that it will connect to VAC, which I couldn't find a way of doing with BeaconSee. However, although I can hear some of the beacons and see the signals on the Faros waterfall and spectral display, it claims that it can't detect the signals. Perhaps it just needs a much better S/N ratio than existed when I was trying.
I've asked for help on the DXAtlas Yahoogroup but so far have received no answer. 73 Alan NV8A On 03/13/08 10:07 am Bob Tracy wrote: > I don't know about BeaconSee but there was a flurry of talk about Faros > (http://www.dxatlas.com/Faros/) on the reflector last year.
