I've now tried Faros, and it does seem to be much easier to use, if for 
no other reason than that it will connect to VAC, which I couldn't find 
a way of doing with BeaconSee. However, although I can hear some of the 
beacons and see the signals on the Faros waterfall and spectral display, 
it claims that it can't detect the signals. Perhaps it just needs a much 
better S/N ratio than existed when I was trying.

I've asked for help on the DXAtlas Yahoogroup but so far have received 
no answer.
