I think I may have found an almost perfect solution to the bright blue light on the 5000... I cut a small piece of black electrical tape and stuck it on the end of the power button. Doesn't look too bad (especially if you trim it carefully), and it still allows a little blue light to be reflected back onto the front panel, so you know it's on, but it's no longer obnoxious about it ;o))
