A simple test is to set a voltmeter to AC, crank up the sensitivity to be able to see mV signals (i.e. a 1 or 2 volt scale on a DVM), and put it across the power supply; an AC coupled scope is even better than a DVM.
Talk into the mike and see if you can see any modulation showing up on the power rail. A "soft" power supply could easily account for all the distortion reports. 73, Tom _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List [email protected] http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kb.flex-radio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flex-radio.com/
