Using my old P4 1.7 Ghz machine, I see version 1.16.2 using about 35% CPU versus 16% for version 1.16.1 (demo mode only). Using my dedicated dual core Intel E6600, I see an increase from 3.5% CPU to 7% CPU (running SDR 1K). Has anyone else noticed that CPU usage has doubled with this latest version?
I am planning to buy the QRP Flex 1500 and duct tape it to an Atom netbook. I will call it the 1500C :) It will be a nice battery powered portable rig to take outdoors - camping etc. I wonder what the power consumption of SDR1500 will be in xmit and receive.
