Hey guys. I bought one about five months ago, and had EXACTLY the same
issue.

A temporary fix is to allow Windows to create a 1024x768 display, but only
show the 1024x600 on the LCD. You can then scroll the Windows desktop up
and down to get to the other controls.

I believe this can be achieved by right-clicking in the desktop, then
clicking on properties. Then, click on the settings tab, and then the
advanced button. Now, click on the Monitor tab, and DESELECT the Hide Modes
that this monitor cannot display mode, just under the screen refresh rate.

Hit OK, which should bring you back to the settings tab of Sidplay
proerties. You should no be able to scroll the scrren resolution right to
the 1024x768 option. Click on apply, and your Windows desktop will be
1024x768, but the LCD will only show 1024x600 of it at a time. You can then
move the cursor up and down, which auto-scrolls the desktop display.

Just last night, I needed this once again. I just bought an LG DVD drive
(the neat slimline USB one at Best Buy for $90), and during Nero's install,
the screen had a problem like PowerSDR, where it assumed at least a 1024x768
display. I hooked up an external LCD monitor, and fiddled around until I
got the larger monitor working. Then, I remembered the
turn-off-unsupported-modes trick.

I just confirmed that the above works fine on my Acer Aspire One and
PowerSDR. Much better!!
