With a plethora of FLEX-3000s shipping daily from Austin and more and
more new Flexers getting on the air, I was wondering if there would be
any interest in having a semi-formal "on the air" audio workshop where
Old Timer's (OTs) with FLEX radios can help out the new Flexers setting
up their audio chain? With PowerSDR's capability of easily recording
and playing back received audio and using wide RX filters, it is real
easy for users to tweak their audio by listening to their own playback
over the air. No one knows better than yourself on how you want to
sound over the air.
If there is any significant interest in this, we would need to organize
several OT Flexers in different parts of the country to participate as
recording stations and to provide feedback since propagation is so
"wonderful" right now. We probably should try do do something on 20m
during the day and/or early evening and 40m at night. I was thinking
about setting it up on a Saturday or a weekday evening.
All of these are just some initial thoughts and I would welcome anyone's
comments and suggestions.
