Frank,

Try loading the latest firmware (yes I know you are already are on
it!) and see if it can talk with the 5000 over the firewire bus. Try
either Flexloader or the firmware package that is on the website.

One thing I would also try is to uninstall the firewire driver,
reboot, reinstall the driver, reboot then try powerSDR with a fresh
database (remove powersdr.mdb if its present).
