I discovered (well, I didn't see it in the kb!) a little nasty from M&soft.

In ..system32 there is apt to be a little thing called - ctfmon.exe

Located: HK_CU:Run, ctfmon.exe
 where: S-1-5-21-1085031214-1229272821-839522115-1003...
command: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe
  file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\ctfmon.exe
  size: 15360

This appears to have a mind of its own. It relates to MSOffice and voice or handwriting input.
Like a virus, once started, it is re-started at every re-boot..
In many, if not most, situations it is generally harmless.
BUT in 2 of 4 systems here it caused goodly DPC spikes (1400+ ms) until disabled. Instructions for disabling/un-installing can be found by searching for it at microsoft.com

It has, I understand been seen as a virus under the same and other names, but usually NOT in system32.
