As an interesting aside, Lauren Weinstein was involved in the initial connection of the UCLA computer system to the original ARPAnet. UCLA was one of the original three systems to make up the then-new ARPAnet back in the 1960's (1968 if I recall properly). He has been posting information since then and may just have the longest-lived continuous presence on the Internet. I met Lauren when I first got on back in 1979. Even back then Lauren's postings were so prolific that there was speculation that he might actually be a pseudonym for multiple people as a single person could not write that much. Less seriously someone suggested that he might be a, "cat-brain computer," an oblique reference to the Star Trek episode, "Miri."
