Hi all,
I have a question about a month ago I went about entertaining myself by install win7. The machine is a Dell Precision 470 with a 3.2 ghz dual core xeon, heaps of grunt runs like a dream, designed for a graphics workstation.

The OS 64 bit works well and getting the PowerSDR running and Flex 5000a talking and running was very nice did not ever have a problem with what I call a basic setup.

However I do use the radio for more than just rag chewing, PSK AND WSPR are a couple of other uses that it gets used for.

I have VAC that works ok fine and this was with the older version of PSDR 1.18.2.

HOW EVER I could not get N8DBvCOM working to pass the cat info along I did try the other one com0com and both did not work for me.

Since then I reloaded the machine (ghost image) back to XPee 32 bit.

Just wondering if some one might be able to point me in the right direction for getting the last item working, what works and what 'magic' tricks are needed to make work.

Finally and maybe my dumbest question should I run the machine in 64 bit OS ?, I know dumb question just want truthful answers, no nasty ones please, I get help of them due to other people.

Cheers All

Paul
