It needs to go into startup items.

   1. Right-click on the START button,
   2. right-click 'explore all users',
   3. click on the plus sign next to start,
   4. click on the plus sign next to programs,
   5. click on 'startup',
   6. place a shortcut to ddutil in this folder.

But before you do that, make sure that ddutil can start before PowerSDR.
Some of the programs get heartburn if they start up before powerSDR. I don't
recall if ddutil is in this category as I haven't needed ddutil for some
time.
