I read through that all. Excellent and with some programs to download to check your PC.
One thing that is very difficult to find on the Flex pages is:
"what kind of PC will I need to operate a FlexRadio Systems SDR?"

Looking strictly at using the Flex-1500, the present day Netbooks won't do it. (I kinda already figured that out!). And your basic 2 GHz Pentium 4 won't do it - it's well under 400 us, but it will not transmit quality CW any better (or worse) than the Netbook. It appears that you need a Dual Core or a Core 2Duo ..... but that is never addressed on the Flex pages.

So .... at Orlando the folks at the booth told me that a good ole Aspire One netbook would work with a 1500 on CW & SSB, but probably not on the digital modes. That does not appear to be the case, and would have saved me quite a bit of time .....

I'm still reading! Next time I tackle a non-Neal computer for running SDR
I'll know better what not to do. *:-)*
