I just received my 5K back today with the VU module installed. Quick work, it
was only gone a week.

But I have a question. I find nothing in the documentation that tells me how to
key my 2 meter amp. I have been using the unit on 6 meters for several years
and merely plugged the amp control cable into the jack that was available. As I
recall, there was only one.

Now I see 3 jacks Labeled "Amp Relay TX 1, TX 2 and TX 3". TX 1 is Red, TX 2
is White and TX 3 is Yellow. (like old fashioned composite video connections).

I assume that the 1, 2 and 3 refer to the corresponding HF antenna ports, but I
could be all wet. So, I would plug my 6 meter amp into TX 3, the yellow one.
Ant. port 3 is used for 6 meters.

But, how do I control my 2 meter amp which is a Commander 2 using a single
3CX800. Is there one for that. At present, I am using a solid state 100 Watt
amp for 70 cm. it is RF keyed, so it is not a problem. But, what do I do if I
convert to a hard keyed higher power amp?

Another question. When I transmit on either 2 or 70 cm, there is a singing
sound coming from the radio. Is there a fan which automatically comes on when
transmitting on these bands, no matter how the Drive is set or whether or not
you are speaking? It's a little annoying but I can live with it as long as I
know what it is.

Any help would be appreciated.
