With the SDR-1000 echo can be caused from poorly seated audio cables, RF getting into the audio cables, ground loops (and there are lot of them depending on the sound card being used), leaving the MON on, or a power supply that is not well regulated (voltage drop on transmit).
Remember, if you created a new DB for the SDR-1000, you must go through a re-calibration cycle. You can import a previous database, but it is a best practice to do it every time up create a new DB. This "best practice" is not necessary with firmware based SDRs like the FLEX-xx00s since the calibration data is stored in the EEPROM. -Tim -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of L. Audio is better but not as clear as I have heard him in the past. Can anyone steer me as to how to get him back to normal? Seems he keeps fiddling with settings just because he can. I am on Flex 3000 V. 2.0.16 with no issues here. Any help appreciated. Best Regards, Larry Andrew W0LEA L.
