Mike, I use a D-104 hooked up to my 1500 too. Same reason as you, I
like the "retro" amid all the modern technology. Mine is actually just a
gutted D-104 shell with a Heil HC-5 in it. I envy you with that 2m
transverter though. Wish I could afford one.
