AF and VAC are audio components that can be further described by the
following characteristics (and hopefully answering your comments along the
way).

1.  External speaker audio volume is controlled by the AF slider in the mid
to lower left part of the PowerSDR window.

2.  You can influence #1 by the windows volume controls as well.

3.  In general, VAC audio is not controlled by the tradition means that you
normally think of controlling Windows audio.

4.  VAC audio control by SDR is best done by the VAC control panel in
PowerSDR.  If you are connecting PowerSDR to HRD/DM780 by VAC, adjusting the
tx or rx sliders, will not impact / change the External speaker audio.  You
can however hook the VAC audio to a speaker, but it is not normally done.

I have generalized in the response, but it is not so clear what you are
trying to do.
