Put the radio in DIGITAL mode, upper probably and ALC should not be a problem. This is why we did the mode. If you are already in digital mode, let me know

I typically get signal reports of -15 dB and I do not believe that I have ever received one better than -09 dB. I only asked the question because I was curious as to why I could not increase my power beyond about 25-30 watts without invoking the ALC. I did not intend to run more power when using this mode as I am well aware of the problems too much power output can cause, including "splatter" when people let their ALC take over. I do not take your comments as being "snippy", but I do not think we should pursue this topic on the Flex lists. Understand that JT65 is a WEAK signal mode; one the biggest problems is people running far too much power and causing de-sensing. Please do a little research on this mode before proceeding; and try running 5 Watts. I don't mean to be snippy but... 73, ~~Guy, W6NJX -- ~~~*Guy Harris* "God is a comedian playing to an audience too afraid to laugh."-- Voltaire _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/ _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/ _______________________________________________ FlexRadio Systems Mailing List FlexRadio@flex-radio.biz http://mail.flex-radio.biz/mailman/listinfo/flexradio_flex-radio.biz Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/flexradio%40flex-radio.biz/ Knowledge Base: http://kc.flexradio.com/ Homepage: http://www.flexradio.com/
