If it just started, then one of several things have possibly occurred.

1.) Windows Update updated a hardware driver (rule of thumb: never let Windows update a hardware driver - get it from the manufacturer) 2.) You added new hardware and that is causing the excessive DPC latencies and an updated driver is needed 3.) An application has been added or updated that is using hardware inefficiently 4.) A Windows update has resulted in the 1394 Firewire driver to be changed from Legacy to the native chipset driver

These are the things I would look at first.

Hi Tim

No, I'm using a Quad core desktop with 4gb Ram, and Win7 64 Bit. The process
priority in PSDR is set to normal- this seems to only be a recent problem,
it started around 3 weeks ago and is getting steadily worse. At first the
occurrances were say every hour, now it's every 5 minutes or so

Charlie

Are you by chance using a laptop?

This sounds like long duration latency resulting from DPCs.

Hi Everyone

After some 10 minutes of operating, my flex 3k RX audio becomes badly
distorted (a crackling sound on the audio). This happens at all sample
rates and on all bands. When I monitor the temp using ctrl shift I the
temperature is showing as 269 degrees C !!! - voltage is ok. This
happens whether I am on speaker or phones, and the stronger the
signal, the greater the distortion level. If I stop PSDR and
Immediately restart it , the problem goes away for another 5 mins or so,
then re-occurs - anyone got any ideas??
