Dearest Jim, Since DownEast Microwave has plenty of Temwell helical resonators advertised on their website with a really recent issue date, one might be curious as to what Flex's experience was with that vendor. I found out and completely sympathize with Flex's decision. Temwell's replacements for Toko helical resonators may be fine for experimenting, but may not be so good as a reliable vendor of ready-to-go production parts. Unacceptably high levels of re-work can completely kill the business plan of any product.
It's a real shame that Toko couldn't make enough money to keep their resonator line going. Toko has always made parts for us on which one could rely in a production environment.
