I had very similar problem installing my 1500.
What I did to get it to work was go to
c:\Users\username\Appdata\Roaming\FlexRadio Systems and
delete the entire folder "FkexRadio Systems", then uninstalled 2.3.5 again
via
windows 7 uninstall.
Where in above the username is your username or what the name of your
computer is.
Then follow the install procedures on the quick start.

As are most things in my life, this can get complicated.
I'll try to be a simple and succinct as I can:
I have a new Flex 3000. Actually a /replacement /3000. The
original installed well but had an intermittent failure,
that, despite the best efforts of Dudley, couldn't be
repaired in the field. At any rate I got a new 3K as a
replacement. I had two different Firewire cards, both new
and believed to be good (they worked as far as connecting
with the first Flex 3000. And, for good measure, I switched
to a Lenovo desktop. A dual core 3 GHz machine with 4 GHz MB
of memory (PC1300) and Win 7 Pro with essentially nothing
but the operating system installed on it. I installed PSDR
and the Flex driver without incident. Windows Device Manager
showed the driver comfortably nestled in place. But, the
driver cannot find the Flex. Only shows "Demo" After fooling
around a bit, I swapped the Firewire card into another PC
(not mine) and tried it. It connected right up. I swapped
back and it wouldn't connect. So the only thing different in
the connect/wouldn't connect scenarios is the actual PC itself.
Am I missing something? UAC issues? 32/64 problems? ANY help
would be appreciated.
