I originally tried using an MH-31 microphone but have now switched to a
Heil Proset 6 boom headset. The MH-31 had been sitting around collecting
dust for quite some time and I found that the PTT switch had become
erratic. I managed to cure that by taking the microphone apart and
cleaning the switch with an air blaster and a very small small drop of
alcohol. Even though I got the switch fixed I was getting reports of
muffled sounding audio. I managed to improve that some using the 10 band
equalizer but eventually gave up on it and switched to the Proset 6. Now
I and every one who listens to me is happy!
