I recently added the flex control to my 5000. I used it in the CQWW VHF contest. It worked great!. It was a two band contest, 6m and 2 m, I selected the swap vfo option I then changed bands with a simple double push down of the knob. No more focus problems resulting in qso loss. I used the mouse only for the logging program, N1MM, and the flexcontrol for the SDR control. There are many other options that I have not used yet, However If I was in an HF contest working 6 bands, it would sure be nice to select each band with the flexcontrol. Don't see how to do this.
