I had exactly the same problem until I realized the desktop shortcut I
was using to launch SDR was pointing to the previous version.

Finally got around to installing the 2.4.4 last night (from 2.3.5).
Everything seemed to install without any problems. Launched the
software and received a message "Radio firmware update required".
Clicked OK. In a few seconds "Update Complete please restart SDR"
message appeared. Restarted SDR, then "Radio firmware update required"
message was displayed again...along with "Update Complete" and "restart".
Stuck in this loop...Even though "update complete" message appears, it
doesn't seem as though the update is really taking place. Re-booted,
re-powered, and re-installed, but same series of messages....
Anyone else run into this? I have a ticket it, but thought I'd do a
quick check here while waiting.
Running XP SP3 with XP hotfix installed per Flex.
