I am using a HiZ 4 square receiving antenna on 160 meters. I have a pre-amp in line at the control box in the center of the four verticals. I am using a Flex 3000.
Question - is anyone else using a pre-amp in this situation? Am I wasting my time and/or raising the noise floor for no reason? Is anyone else using a pre-amp with their Flex on 160? I am wondering..only because the Flex 3000 seems to be a really great receiver unit for me, and I want to be able to hear the weak signals on 160.
